Play is our esteemed showcase for video and new media and we are excited to unveil Gregory Perkel's Savonarola Suite on December 5 at 1pm at the fair, in partnership with Art in America.
This year, Black & White Gallery / Project Space, debuts the Savonarola Suite installation by New Jersey-based artist Gregory Perkel, marking the artist's first solo art fair presentation. This ambitious cross-media installation offers viewers the opportunity to interpret recent art market history from multiple perspectives of its various protagonists. The installation consists of two elements: a diptych of large-scale, visually stunning video works to project at PULSE Play this December, and a set of photographs to reinforce the installation's visual language.

"...the art world has transformed into a rather pragmatic art business. Throughout the same period, my art practice continued to challenge the value systems of the market economy and those found in the art world." - Gregory Perkel, Play Artist
