Wuhan, China -The Grulla de Bronce Award has finally fallen on the Cuban artists Sixto &Lucia who have been the Latin sensation in the 11th International Acrobatic Art Festival in the Chinese city of Wuhan, Hebei Province. These young representatives from the National Circus of Cuba since their first time on the stage monopolized one of the strongest ovations ever recorded in this great circus event-one of the largest and most prestigious on the planet.
QUICK CHANGE (Quick change costumes) was the proposal for the competition that made them deserving of this important recognition which also won top awards, the Rosgoscirk Company (Russia), who had already won the GRAND PRIX in Circuba 2014, the Xinjiang acrobatic troupe of China and the National Circus of the Democratic Republic of Korea (these last three winners of the Grulla de Oro).
The silver metal was reserved for the performances in aerial rope (China), treppe "Gerlings" (Colombia), as well as a number of acrobatic strength dental quadrant from Ukraine.
Lucia & Sixto thus open a path of victories for Cuba at a festival where the mere act of participating is already an award.
Their next stop in time of festivals will occur from February 26th to March 2nd , 2015 when their art can be seen for the first time in Europe through the 4th. edition of the International Circus Festival, City of Figueres, Spain where they have been invited.
