Ten creators make up the list of Trans-Human, an exhibition that will be opened to viewers at JM Gallery, Malaga, through March 17.
The proposal “invites us to go through an inter-textual territory (…)around the re-flection, trans-formation and re-distribution of sense, images and power; the representation, the identities and genres; the bodies, the organs and genders; and, all in all, the desires and loneliness .”
From different approaches and strategies, the artists tackle the contemporary through the deconstruction of subjectivity, representing imaginaries, emotions, fantasies, highlighting the individuality, the singular, within a universe marked by the depersonalization and anonymity. The strategies entail a look to the oneiric, even a paradoxical game.
Pablo Alonso Herraiz, Irene Andessner, Jose Carlos Casado, Isaac Cordal, Iñaki Larrimbe, Aaron Lloyd, Catalina Obrador, Francisco Peinado, Matias Sanchez and Carlos Schwartz have given spectators some of their most incisive proposals. Watching, interpreting and reading between the lines are up to you.
