Scholarships for Artists, Creators

Each year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAEC) and the Spanish International Cooperation Agency for Development (AECID), with the collaboration of the Rafael del Pino Foundation, call for scholarships for the Spanish Academy in Rome. Artists, researchers, writers, thinkers and designers from Spanish-speaking America can benefit from the possibility of producing their own artistic or research projects at the Academy during the 2012-2013 course.

The scholarships seek to turn this institution into a launching pad of international exposé for the creative culture of Spain and Spanish-speaking America, banking on its privileged location. The application deadline ends on March 22, 2012.

Scholarships have been called in a number of fields: Architecture (Heritage Restoration), Literature, Photography, Cinema, Performing Arts, Esthetics and Museology, Theory, Analysis and Critique, Engraving, plus a category this year dedicated to graphic design and Net Art.
