Photographic Revelation Week

Colombian artists Guillermo Santos, Fernando Cruz and Camo will be playing the leading role in an event devoted to photography, at Residencia en la Tierra (Colombia), Saturday March 31 –Sunday April 8.

 

During these eight days, photographers and artists (professionals or amateurs) will be developing individual projects guided by experts, who will deliver individual tutorials, workshops on photographic experimentation, and exercises on individual and collective creation. Also on schedule, round tables to debate on the works of attendees, which promises to enrich the results, modify visions and bring about new questions and projects.

 

Guillermo Santos is going to deliver a workshop on light and image and, in collaboration with Fernando Cruz, another one targeting the relation among ancient processes and digital image. On the other hand, Camo will be in charge of a workshop titled Lo extraordinario en lo ordinario, focused on an essay that tackles photography with black light.

 

The works are going to be exhibited during the last night.

 

Created back in 2009 in order to provide a stage to encourage the contemporary artistic production, Residencia en la Tierra welcomes artists, writers, researchers, cultural agents, curators, and people interested in art, no matter what their discipline is, to develop an artistic work or creation project, and at the same time, get in contact with other creators thus establishing a dialogue among different disciplines, cultures and generations. Residencia en la Tierra is located at 1,200 m.s.n.m., Montenegro Municipality, Quindio Department, coffee –growing zone in Colombia.
