Contemporary Multiple Art in ESTAMPA

ESTAMPA, the fair devoted to multiple art, has called for its 2012 edition, to be held on November 8 - 11 in IFEMA, Madrid.

The event is backed up by twenty years of experience, and the organizers have decided to include this time new initiatives aimed to stimulate the market, sections that entail commitments with institutions, collectors, researchers, audiences and the mass media. An important element is the interest in widening the concept of multiple artbeyond conventional editions, taking into account concepts, processes and disciplines: photography, video, books, comics, graphic work, sound or design.

The photography will be playing a leading role in SECTION PH, where art critic and curator Sema D’Acosta will be in charge of some collaboration sessions with the Fine Arts Circle on up-to-date elements of photography; and a visits circuit is going to be carried out including workshops of artists and photography labs for collectors. ¡SE MUEVE! is devoted to the video animation produced in Spain, with the curatorship of Gonzalo Cordero; while PRINTSHOP EDITION is a brand-new section in the show that has been created to coherently showcase the latest proposals of international editors and printers.
