Art Madrid November Edition Called Off

The 7th edition of this contemporary art fair, which would take place on November 7 – 11 in Madrid, was called off by its organizers, seemingly due to technical issues that would affect the quality of the event.

The exhibition, that had moved its venue from the glass pavilion at Casa de Campo to the train station premises at Chamartin in an effort to transform and adapt the event to the new harmony of the artistic market, was counting on the technical support provided by Adif, a public company that runs and manages space. According to what was explained by Gema Lazcano, director of the Fair, the postponement of the seventh edition is related to a wrong calculation of adequacy times and venue implementation.

As for the galleries that had already joined the edition, the director said that "they will attend" the 2013 February edition. "They have understood the situation. It only happened this year because of space changes.”

The exhibition maintains, as scheduled, the celebration of the eighth edition (February 13 – 17) and the ninth (November 6 – 10), both in 2013.
