Open Call: 2014-2015 Anapoima Art Workshop

The registration to participate in 2014-2015 Anapoima Art Workshop will be open through September 30, 2014, and it is going to take place at Cundinamarca municipality, December 6, 2014 – February 1, 2015.

The 2014-2015 Anapoima Art Workshop is supported by the Municipal City Hall and the municipality’s Culture House, as well as the private sector and national and international departmental institutions of the Colombian cultural sector. The show has been conceived to become a platform of cultural exchange from Anapoima to the world.

"The workshop is going to put together an exhibit of visual arts and we’re looking forward to counting on the participation of Colombian and Colombia-based foreign artists. 

The workshop is sponsored by a group of institutions that have decided to stimulate the creativity of our artists with a 30 million pesos award and give honorable mentions with a polychrome steel sculpture as an award for their artistic work", said Eduardo Márceles Daconte, a prestigious art critic and curator, who coordinates the different stages of the workshop.

The call is open to free themes. Colombian and Colombia-based foreign artists can participate, no age limit; the artists will compete for a unique prize and there is going to be special guests.

The artists can participate with paintings, sculptures, engravings, drawings, photography and conceptual works, which can be made on any support.

The artists shall check the rules and fill the registration form on the website of Anapoima municipality in Cundinamarca and on Arte Anapoima logo open the form and attach the required documentation. This moment will be followed by a pre-selection, selection and final awards ceremony.
