Plastic Exhibition will begin the VI Leo Brouwer Festival

The exhibition Pintura en acción, by the renowned Cuban painter and sculptor Choco, will start the activities of the sixth edition of Leo Brouwer Festival which will be extended in the Cuban capital until next October 12th.

During the exhibition, to be held in Havana Cuban Art Factory (FAC), you can appreciate paintings, prints, installations and sculptures made ??by the popular visual artist as well as the premiere of the documentary Leo Choco, in which the Cuban filmmaker Ian Padron recounts part of the life and work of the painter.

"This a good opportunity to thank the turnaround that has represented for my work the different editions of Leo Brouwer Festival, so I hope it continues," said Eduardo Roca (Choco) before a crowd of journalists.

Apart from Pintura en acción, Roca also participated in the recent opening of a group exhibition while accompanying his colleagues Alfredo Sosabravo, Roberto Fabelo and K-cho, among others, whose works will be auctioned for charity, all under the watchful look of Festival Organizing Committee.

The artist has also participated, along with Brouwer, in the official cancellation of a stamp honoring the 75th anniversary of the eminent composer and guitarist, in which does not appear his photo, but one of his favorite guitars.

According to the organizers of the event, the VI Festival of Chamber Music Leo Brouwer convened over three hundred musicians and artists from a dozen countries on a date governed by the motto "perfect marriage of intelligent music", but that always seeks to go beyond and merge all the arts in its program.
