EMERGE 2014-15

The main objective of the project EMERGE is still to give voice to a group of young artists, fresh from college, who point with their ideas, shapes, colors, lines, images, textures and volumes the spherical target of Art Planet.

With a graduate degree in Fine Arts under the arm they present their works and represent their personal worlds. An opportunity provided by the Francisco de Vitoria University, to which, surely, would sigh and that thousands of young artists aspire. We are convinced that they will not waste it.

In this sixth edition, we continue with an emphasis on the most professional issues of what it means to participate in an exhibition of contemporary art.

Thus, and as we did already in the past two years, we have again chosen as an exhibition space a contrasted art gallery, a landmark within the Madrid local gallery scene. With this, we want these young artists have the opportunity to personally meet and live the experience of taking part in what is and means a real art exhibition in the professional circuit.

Moreover, and for the fourth time, the call has continued to expand to all Fine Art academies in the country, so that will make this initiative a good platform and a reference is strengthened to show news and creative proposals of our future artists.

We also have to thank the support and help that the AXA Foundation, co-organizer of EMERGE, is giving us selflessly to nurture this project year after year and end up becoming a happy reality. Its constant commitment and sponsorship for the arts and culture continue to be one of its main features of identity, and once again make it possible, in this case, a group of young artists to show their creative proposals.
