From November 14th to November 16th, the young art fair ART FAIR ROOM [RAF] is held in the Mayerling Hotel located in the Barrio de los Austrias Madrid. During these days 18 galleries, Mediapartners and three projects by new commissionerswill meet in this space.
The philosophy of ROOM ART FAIR focuses on the dissemination of this art, current art. To achieve this, it has young galleries, which have started recently their career and that will come with an own selection of artists. They want to support this type of galleries that are often left out of other shows for their youth.
They work to create synergies between all agents involved in RAF [curators, artists, collectors, publishers, curators]. The perfect tool to achieve this goal is that all these agents will sleep for four nights at the Mayerling Hotel, during the day the room will serve as an exhibition space and in the evening to host them.
A comprehensive proposal of activities organized by the participating galleries [performances, micro-workshops, presentations, portfolios viewings ...] will complete the program of this fourth edition.
With the introduction of over 100 artists # RAF4 aims to bring contemporary art to new collectors. In RAF they will find these pieces at an affordable price and convenient formats, within a physiognomy [hotel rooms] that favors the approach to art and the art market agents in a more direct and casual way. With all this they encourage the general public to lose the fear for contemporary art.
The # RAF4 team is formed by some multidisciplinary entrepreneurs young people [in their 30s] who have done so much this year as in earlier editions with 100% of their private capital.
