Five current perspectives on Joan Miro

The Joan Miro Foundation and the Oberta University of Catalunya organize five conferences around the figure and work of Joan Miro.

 

Felix Fanes, Robert Lubar, Javier Pérez Segura, Christopher Green and Joan M. Minguet Batllori will give lectures on Wednesday November 19th  at 18 pm at the Joan Miro Foundation.

 

The event is part of an international seminar on the new contributions to the Miró study, that brings together international experts on Joan Miró in Barcelona.

 

The conferences, open to the public, are sponsored by the program Internationalisation at Home of the Welfare Project "la Caixa".

 

The international seminar on new contributions to the Miro studies in Barcelona during November 18th and November 19th of, some of the top experts in the figure and work of Joan Miró. Dr. Robert Lubar and Dr. Jordana Mendelson, from the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University, Dr. Christopher Green, from Courtauld Institute of Fine Arts, Dr. Rémi Labrusse, from the Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, Drs. Joan M. Minguet and Felix Fanés, from the Universitat Autònoma in Barcelona, Dr. Maria Josep Balsach, from Girona University, Teresa Montaner, head of the Conservation Area Joan Miró Foundation and Rosa Maria Malet, director of the Joan Miró Foundation.

 

As part of this meeting will be presented a public session in which some aspects of Miró's creation will be analyzed. The session is divided into five rooms, three in English and two in Catalan, lasting fifteen to twenty minutes each, with a break among them. Papers to be presented are:
