Dolores Redondo will present on November 25th in Elizondo the expected end of "Trilogía del Baztan" ("Trilogy of Baztan")

The writer Dolores Redondo has chosen scenarios that investigates the inspector Amaia Salazar to present the latest installment of her trilogy, "Ofrenda en la tormenta". About 30 journalists and 40 booksellers in Spain will meet in Elizondo in November 24, 25 and 26 to participate in the presentation events organized by the publishing Destino, in collaboration with the Government of Navarra. Among them a tour for the main sites that appear in the trilogy, an attractive plan that anyone can join through guided tours are organized in the city since last year.

 

 

For over a year, Baztan is much more than a beautiful northern valley in Navarra filled with palaces and mansions and lush forests that provide shelter houses to mythological characters. Is the main stage of the ("Trilogía del Baztan") "Trilogy of Baztan", the successful thriller by the writer based in Cintruénigo Dolores Redondo that features Amaia Salazar, an inspector of the Foral Police who returns to her hometown, Elizondo, to discover the murderer of several teenagers.

 

Amid a general fall in book sales, more than 300,000 copies were sold with their first volumes, "El guardián invisible"and "Legado en los huesos", have made this trilogy a publishing phenomenon that confirms the boom thriller not only in Spain but also beyond our borders. Redondo's novels have been published in more than 20 countries (Hungary, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, Turquí and Norway, among others). Therefore, it is not surprising that the presentation of the third and final delivery "Ofrenda en la tormenta",  the publisher Destino, in collaboration with the Government of Navarra, has organized an extensive program of events for journalists and booksellers which will be held from November 24th  through 26th .

 

 

About 30 journalists from Madrid, Barcelona and Navarra will travel to Elizondo to interview the writer and know the places where her novels are developed. On Tuesday, November 25th , coinciding with the arrival of the novel to bookstores, Dolores Redondo will attend the official dinner to be held at the Casino in Elizondo. In the afternoon, at 18:00, will be the official presentation of "Ofrenda a la tormenta". On Wednesday November 26th , booksellers displaced to Elizondo will have the opportunity to discover the main stages of the trilogy and then dine with the author herself at a dinner to be held in the Casino of the town.

 

 

The literary tourism reaches Elizondo

 

The success of Redondo has been so brilliant that her novels, translated into fifteen languages, will soon jump to the big screen and positioned on the map to the beautiful town of Elizondo. The German producer Peter Nadermann, responsible for the hits like the trilogy "Millennium", has acquired the rights to make the film.

 

But until the story of the inspector Amaia Salazar reaches the big screen, fans of this exciting trilogy can know its main enclaves thanks to the guided tours offered by the Baztan valley. It is a route of two hours prepared with the help of the writer herself walking, among other places, the bridge Muniartea, the trinkete Antxitonea the Txokoto bar, the station of the Provincial Police, the church of Santiago Apostle, the cemetery or natural enclaves around Elizondo. In addition, travelers can take advantage of their visit to Elizondo to discover the main attractions of the valley, a place that is particularly attractive in autumn by the red ocher and presenting their suggestive forests and gastronomy offering their 15 locations riddled with palaces and villages with large balconies and medieval bridges.
