Over 100 German sculptures of bears to be exhibited in Havana

Some 128 bears sculptures, which are part of a traveling exhibition to promote tolerance and understanding among peoples, will be seen at the San Francisco De Asis square, in old Havana, from January 16 to March 1 by a Germany initiative.

The 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations re-establishment between Germany and Cuba is a noble reason to send this kind of message in favor of all the people around the world.

At the opening of this exhibition, which has the support of the local administration, will be present Eusebio Leal Spengler, historian of the city of Havana, the German Ambassador to Cuba, Peter Scholz and Eva and Klaus Herlitz, promoters of such project.

The bears were exhibited for the first time in Berlin, in 2002.
