ALMONEDA, will place at the reach of all the visitors a great variety of art works, different times, styles and techniques that will be mixed for the enjoyment of the painting lovers.
This proposal covers from classic pieces of 15th and 19th centuries or the creations made within the avant-garde art of the 20th century until the works by contemporary artists. During 9 days, the pavilion 3 at the Madrid Fair provides a fascinating tour through the history of the painting putting at the reach of the visitors a great spectrum of styles, techniques, times and also diversity of prices. It is offer able to cover all the tastes.
ANTIGUART, founded in 2007, is related to paintings, furniture, sculptures, ceramic, clocks and objects of styles until the beginning of the 20 century.
ALMONEDA 2015 bets for a kind of painting on a Spanish-flamenco board from the 15th century and an oil painting on canvas of the end of the 12th century, which reflects like a battle expressing in a notable manner the movement of different figure sand horses that are in the scene.
As part of the event, they will present a collection of Dutch and Flamenco painting of the 16th and 17th centuries with great quality and reasonable prices. Among other works, they highlight El Violinista de la Aldea by Cornelis Dusart, (1680-1685); Retrato de niña con guirnalda de flores by Nicolas Maes (1675); Barco de pesca próximo a la costa, by Jan Theunisz Blanckerhoff (1650-1655); Paisaje invernal, by Theodor Van Heil (1675-1680); Interior de Taberna con Jugadores de Cartas, by Willem van Herp, (1660); y Virgen con el Niño Rodeados de Ángeles by Cornelis de Baeilleur “El Viejo” (1650-1660).
DANTIK, a new company created in 1940 which purpose at ALMONEDA is that the visitors travel to sponsorship ancient times through the proposal of its art works. It will show an oil painting on canvas at the costumbrismo (related to local customs) time of the early 20th century, among others.
ANTIGÜEDADES CASTELLARNA, created in 1940 will show paintings of different times, mainly of 19 and 20 centuries. It will show, among others, an oil painting on canvas on the Inmaculada by Juan de Miranda in the 18th century.
For his part, DAVID CERVELLÓ GALERÍA DE ARTE will present at ALMONEDA a space for painting by different artists such as Clavé, Tápies, Miró, Dalí, Barceló, Mir, Casas, Rusiñol. They highlight La Mantellina blanca, de R. Casas (1908); Granada by S. Rusiñol, (1898); and Bailarinas by E. Grau Sala (1931). Also they will propose some collection objects like a sculpture of the 14th century with polychrome alabaster and a Mudejar small chest of the 16th century.
JORDI PASCUAL Gallery with over 10 years in the artistic sector, is specialized in painting of the 19th and 20 centuries as well as contemporary painting and avant-garde art by Spanish and international renowned artists. In this edition, they will present the work titled El Pascol, Caldes de Montbui, 1922, by Joaquín Mir, which is considered a museum piece since it highlights for its large dimensions and because this was one of the best works the painter made during his stay in Caldes de Montbui. Also, they will show a work by Antoni Clavé as Guerrier (1961) and by Miquel Barceló, Sinonímes, 2004, a large still life highlights, mainly for the combination of textures and volumes that give revitalization and harmony to this fantastic composition.
ANNA DE LA IGLESIA will offer the visitors different pieces from the Isabel perios of the 16th century, going through the modernism period and art-deco of the 19th and 20th centuries until the vintage objects. At its space, it highlights a picture at the Eastern polychrome style in the early 20th century.
VALENTIN KOVATCHEV ART GALLERY presents a contemporary selection of artists such as E.G. Perlado, Ruiz-Poveda, Andreas Strobel and artist and gallery owner Valentín Kovatchev. They highlight the oil painting on canvas by Miles Davis, Jimmy Hendrix and Majestic horse VII. FORTUNY presents artista Juan Fortuny at ALMONEDA in exclusive. His works reflect his strong, determined and fighting personality, but at the same time sweet, quiet and romantic. Some of them include Explosión foral, Estampida and Ganges.
From the illustration world, FRANCISCO DE RETAMERO combines the realism closed to comic and videogame with expressionist large-format works alternating both worlds with a difficult and beautiful harmony. It proposes for the the fair small intimist pictures related to magic realism, large format works (both realism and abstract expressionism) and paper works.
PABLO PATEMAN, European and Eastern art and unique, will show at ALMONE, among others, Gloria victis, a bronze by Antonin Mercié, of the 19th century and an oil painting on canvas by Hermann Kauffmann.
PEDRO DE MIGUEL will focus its proposal on abstract, realistic of new imagination works. It highlights Astillero by Pedro de Miguel; Tronco, by Seila Ochandiano; and El Viejo Taller by Juan José Vicente.
ART DECO GALLERY will attend ALMONEDA with a great variety of objects furniture Art Decó, which will complete with an avant-garde classic Spanish graphic and the incorporation of contemporary Spanish artist Alfonso Méndez.
ALMONEDA 2015, which is organized by IFEMA will be celebrating its 25 anniversary from April 11 to 19. It is a proposal related to many amazingly and unique pieces. Also, a salon will dedicate an open doors day with free access for all the visitors on April 14.
