Encounter with contemporary art in Paris spring

Directed by Guillaume Piens since 2012, Art Paris Art Fair makes an invitation to the discovering fostering the exploration of art in other regions of the world that is not usual in France. For this edition, the guest honor are Singapur and the Asian Southeast, which will stay in the French capital, at the Palais of Tokyo with the exhibition titled L'Archipel secret (the secret archipelago) from March 27 to May 17, 2015 and at the Jeu de Paume with the screening of the work Monologue (Monólogo) by Cambodian Vandy Rattana.

 

Over 10 galleries of Singapore including Art plural Gallery, Art Seasons Gallery, Chan Hampe Galleries, Element Art Space, Yeo Workshop, iPreciation o Sundaram Tagore Gallery, they will show the artistic talent from Cambodia, Burma, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Filippine, Vietnam y Thailand.

 

For its part, Asian southeast will also present with artists such as Thailand Navin Rawanchaikul en Adler Subhashok, Burmese artist Aung Ko in Primo Marella, Vietnamese Dinh Q. Le and Bui Cong Khanh in 10 Chancery Lane, Filipine Manuel Ocampo in Nathalie Obadia or Alfredo and Isabel Aquilizan in Hélène Bailly.

 

Solo Exhibitions

 

The general section will have modern art galleries such as Boisseree ( Cologne), Luca Tommasi (Milan), Shchukin (Paris, New York), Michel Vidal (Paris) and contemporary art galleries like Plutschow and Andrés Thalmann of Zurich, Flowers of Londres, Tanit, Andreas Binder and Renate Bender of Múnich, Sanatorium and Krampf Gallery of Estambul, as well as French galleries like Galerie Houg, Maria Lund and Pierre-Alain Challier.

 

Some peculiar for this edition is that the event will provide 30 solo exhibitions that will be distributed in the place and the will help the visitors know more about the creations of artists like Thomas Agrinier (Galerie Estace), Paz Corona (Les Filles du Calvaire), Stéphane Crasneanscki (Ilan Engel), Gerardo Custance (Galeria Camara Oscura), Henni Alftan (Galerie Claire Gastaud), Philipp Lachenmann (Andreas Binder), Jane Lee (Sundaram Tagore Gallery), Yassine Mekhnache (Krampf Gallery), Mohamed Melehi (Loft Art Gallery), Radenko Milak (Duplex 100m2 & l'Agence à Paris), Dawn Ng (Chan Hampe Gallery), Aurélie Pétrel (Galerie Houg), Lyndi Sales (Maria Lund) y Sam Szafran (Galerie Claude Bernard), among others.

 

New Talents

 

Promesas Section, which is aimed at discovering new talents at national and international level since 2013, this year, hosts 13 galleries with less than five years of existence. They include ArchiRAAR (Bruselas), Podbielski (Berlín), Christophe Gerber (Lausana), Heinzer Reslzer (Lausana), Jo Van Loo (Múnich), TJ Boulting (London), Cédric Bacqueville (Lille) o Rivière / Faiveley (Paris).

 

This year, they will celebrate the fourth edition of Art Design, which will explore the borders between the contemporary art and design that will gather about 10 galleries and editors, which will present pieces created by new talents in limited series. Elodie Palasse Leroux is in charge of the selection this time.
