International Festival of Arts in Costa Rica

San Jose. The Ministry of Culture and Youth is organizing the International Festival of Arts (FIA, 2015) to cover over 20 scenarios by the end of this month and the beginning of May in Costa Rica.

Concerts by popular singer and song writers such as León Gieco and Miguel Mateos appear in the program conceived for this new edition of this annual celebration, which this time will extend its usual space at the capital La Sabana Metropolitan Park.

According to a press release, la diversity of cultural proposals will be the norm this time since it ranges from the ancestral magic of the Talamaca natives’ chants to the Catalan puppeteer art from the La Tal Company.

The idea is that the FIA makes the widespread coverage possible related to the cultural groups of public Universities, the National Institute of Music, the General Direction of Bands, The National System of Musical Education, and the municipal cultural programs, adds the press release.

It also states that this time they plan to spread the work carried out by bands such as la Orquesta Internacional de Lubín Barahona y sus Caballeros del Ritmo, Un Rojo Reggae Band, Ojo de Buey, Moon Light Dub, Lucho Calavera y la Canalla, la Milixia, Sonámbulo, Cantoamérica, among others.

The FIA, whose first edition took place in 1989, was designed to bring culture to all the country through shows with any cost.
