Frida Kahlo's New York at Mark Miller Gallery

New York.- The Mark Miller Gallery is pleased to present "Frida Kahlo's New York" an exhibition by award-winning cartoonist and illustrator Felipe Galindo/Feggo, from May 7 through June 7, 2015. The exhibition features works on paper and sequential artworks from Felipe Galindo / Feggo's project "Frida Kahlo's New York," as well as preparatory drawings and storyboards for the animation in progress of the same title.

The works from the award-winning cartoonist and illustrator are inspired by Kahlo's five visits to New York City in the 1930's and 1940's.

They present whimsical narratives featuring Kahlo in the metropolis, with scenes that imagine the impact that the Big Apple might have had on Frida's art and life.

The project seeks to celebrate Kahlo's artistic vision, her passionate and complex life and the vitality of New York. "Frida Kahlo's New York" also salutes the much anticipated exhibition "Frida Kahlo, Art, Garden Life" opening in mid-May at the New York Botanical Garden.

"Frida Kahlo's New York" will run from May 7 through June 7th.

Feggo works have been publish in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune and The Wall Street Journal.
