Obispo Street in the 12th Havana Biennial (PHOTOS)

With the usual artistic spirit that brightens it up every day, Obispo Street in Havana’s historic site takesin also the 12th Havana Biennial.

 

Florida Hotel has become the stage for La rueda recreada exhibition, by US-based Cuban artist Guillermo Portieles. This project focuses on the tire, which transcends as an icon of his personal experience and which has been gaining meanings and values to become a series or a collection.

 

 

Fajad Jamis Library has been taken over by a main action of this event: Intervencion en la libreria, by artist Yornel Martinez Elias, who is part of the some projects all having books and literature as the leading character.

 

 

And there‘s the lobby of the Cuban Book Institute, where Stephan Gilot (Belgium-Canada) has located his installation Pieza para cinco interpretes, Luz rosa and silencio.
