The directors of the section, Irene Hofmann and Lucia Sanromán, have invited a curatorial team comprised of two young professionals who live and work in close relation with the Latin American context from an international perspective: María do Carmo M. P. de Pontes (independent curator and writer, Sao Paulo/London) and Ruth Estévez (director and curator of the RedCat gallery, Bilbao/Los Angeles).
On this occasion the section will be organised around two lines of research: Art at the intersection with time in the fields of theatre, music and dance and Subversion through humour.
ARCOmadrid has opened applications for participation in the #SoloProjects section until 25 September. Over the last five years this programme has established itself as a space for the showcase and research of Latin American art.
