Los Angeles.- British actor Daniel Radcliffe, famous for his portrayal of Harry Potter, changed his wizard''s vestments for the clothes of Doctor Victor Frankenstein''s assistant and wearing them appears today in the film''s trailer. The new version of the iconic novel by Mary Shelly written in 1818, will have a different approach, because the story is now told from the perspective of Dr. Frankenstein's assistant, Igor, said the director of the film Paul McGuigan.
Under this angle, the film will show the origins of the doctor and his collaborator, how their friendship and their desire of generating a 'new life' was forged, all spiced with a touch of humor, the filmmaker promised.
Victor Frankenstein's trailer shows part of the creation process of one of the most famous characters in horror history.
In addition, a more mature Daniel Radcliff is presented, this time long-haired, disheveled and with a dark expression on his face.
The film also features Scottish actor James McAvoy, Irish Andrew Scott and British Freddie Fox, Mark Gatiss, Jessica Brown Findlay and Daniel Mays.
Victor Frankenstein will premiere in US on November 25 this year.
