New York.- The Litz Alfonso Dance Cuba recently began its United States tour until December 1 and includes the states of Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Washington. The dance company opened the tour last night at the McCarter Theatre with the act Cuba Vibra!, and then during the weekend at the Cutler Majestic Theatre in Boston.
From November 12 to 29 the company will be at the New Victory Theater, New York, the second time the company occupies a season in that theater downtown Manhattan after offering there over 20 functions in 2003 with the show Fuerza y Compass.
The tour will culminate at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, to the rhythm of cha-cha, mambo, rumba, conga and bolero.
Cuba Vibra! covers the Cuban music and dance of the 50s of last century to the present, as well as original workd composed for that show and performed live.
In addition to the twenty theatrical presentations, the company will perform in New York for children and youth people.
This is the eighth presentation of Lizt Alfonso company in the United States. It director turns 24 years in 2015 with a prestigious career in defense of the merger of dance and musical styles.
In late September, the Litz Alfonso Ballet Dance Cuba completed a successful tour of the Mexican cities of Tijuana, Mexicali and Oaxaca.
