PASSENGER IN LIFE

80 works in 9 sections - including engravings, etchings, oil paintings, sculptures, light boxes (lentegrafías) - run through 30 years of work dedicated to the graphic work with a constant sense of humor. As stated in the text developed for the exhibition, Bellver "rejects the fable of the artist's creativity and ridicules the myth of the creative artist, which serves to form his own legend, its own character. It argues that art is something inconsequential, a mockery able to get away from the seriousness of life. "

The National Graphic Award in 2008 has invented and reinvented his art by copying, mixing and contrasting the art of others, to shape a full particular universe of references to pop culture, Dadaist philosophy, cinema ... "On every occasion, I search more and more in what the each language means. My style is quite technical and horror vacui. I do not leave large spaces or large gaps, I always filled all the space of the work. I think the style it's really like that. The rest, are languages, "says the artist.

Until 28 August, "Bellver. Fleeting Life", curated by Felipe Hernández Cava, and organized by the Office for the Promotion of Fine Arts in the main hall of Tabacalera Art Promotion allows us to know a little more the iconographic universe of an artist often called unpersonal and perhaps because of that, he creates in total freedom: "It's fun to use different languages. Be a different person every time you go to the studio and do not repeat yourself in an obsessive way for people to recognize you. If the people doesn't recognize my work... I give a damn. "
