Cuban Duetto Gente de Zona to Sing in Latin Grammys

Los Angeles.- Cuban rap group Gente de Zona will perform on November 16 at the gala ''2016 Personna'' of the Latin Grammys this year, decicated in this edition to famous salsa singer Marc Anthony.

 


The ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden of the city of Las Vegas (Nevada, US) will also count on the performances of Mexican duetto Jesse and Joy, US-Dominican Prince Royce, Puerto Ricans Victor Manuelle and Gilberto Santa Rosa and Colombian Carlos Vives, said the organizers of the event in their website.

 

This presentation will recognize the career of Marc Anthony for more than two decades.

 

This gala, also celebrates professional, cultural and philantrophic contributions by Marc Anthony.

 

Among the guests, there will also be Gabriel Abaroa Jr., CEO president of the Latin Recording Academy, and other personalities, in an evening just one night before the annual delivery of the Latin Grammys this year (17th Annual Grammy Awards Delivery Ceremony).

 

Marc Anthony, born in New York on September 18, 1968, has dedicated almost his entire life to the music of his Puerto Rican roots, including salsa, boleros, son and ballads, to become one of their most popular performers.

 

Throughout his career, he has sold more than 12 million copies and has 15 music recording productions.

 

Recently, he recorded with Gente de Zona songs such as La Gozadera y Traidora, which topped the list of musical hits of several Latin American countries.

 

The Cuban duo Gente de Zona (Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom), a group recently awarded in the Billboard Latin Music Awards, arose in the year 2000, and merges the reggaeton with other rhythms as merengue and salsa music.
