Gluck50 upcoming residency project from December 2016:: BIRDHEAD
Founded in 2004 (Song Tao was born in 1979 and Ji Weiyu was born in 1980). They both work and live in Shanghai. From December 2016 until April 2017 Birdhead will travel through Italy for their new photographic project which will be followed by an exhibition as part of their residency at Gluck50.
BIRDHEAD is the duo (Song Tao&JiWeiyu) focused on photography, whose oeuvre consists of photographic images of daily life, personal hobbies and traveling. After developing, arranging and mounting, the snap-shot aesthetic of their extensive and accumulative photos constitute BIRDHEAD WORLD-series (approximately 10000 pictures a year). BIRDHEAD WORLD exists as exhibitions and also catalogues.
