The vice president of the event, Edel Morales, announced that this year´s edition will be dedicated to the intellectual Armando Hart, whose work in the Ministry of Culture a few decades ago helped to make every Cuban a potential reader, he said.

Meanwhile, the guest country of honor will be Canada, from where some of the relevant writers of the moment will arrive, such as Margaret Atwood, who according to Morales deserves the Nobel Prize for Literature.

The organizing committee has also confirmed the presence of 36 countries, 162 authors, 86 foreign exhibitors and 58 Cuban publishers in this edition.

The program drew attention to a tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, the decisive driving force of the Fair and one of the most recognized Cuban authors on the planet.
