An Elegy to Rosewood: Artists Panel Discussion

Next week, the Frost Art Museum is holding a panel discussion with the contemporary artists featured in An Elegy to Rosewood, whose artwork focuses on the women who have preserved the oral history of the Rosewood Massacre. This conversation will elaborate on the role that women play in storytelling and preserving history.

As we honor and celebrate the roles women have played in shaping our world today, we want to take the next couple of weeks to highlight the artist panelists who will take part in this crucial dialogue.

Chire Regans

Artist Chire "VantaBlack" Regans' art practice exists at the intersection of social justice and storytelling. Her work responds to urgent societal concerns and functions as a critical platform to amplify the voices of the communities she engages with. Over the past decade, Chire's work has focused primarily on community advocacy and depicting social narratives without distortion, in a variety of mediums.
