Galería Yusto/Giner: Double Opening

The Yusto/Giner Gallery presents the first individual exhibition of S.H. Kim in his “Room 1” of his space in Marbella.

Within the thematic tapestry of his work, Kim pursues a profound exploration of simplicity,
sincerity, and authenticity. In his pursuit of these qualities, he echoes the artistic legacy of
luminaries such as Milton Avery and Philip Guston. Notably, Kim’s distinct artistic approach lies in his bold and generous application of oils and oil pastels upon his anime-infused canvases.

Through this technique, he triumphantly succeeds in evoking intimate emotions within the
viewer, fostering a deep connection between the art and its audience. Each stroke and every nuanced detail coalesce to evoke a sense of shared humanity, inviting the viewer to reflect upon their own personal experiences and find solace within the universality of Kim’s artistic expression.

The Yusto/Giner Gallery presents the first individual exhibition of Jake Clark in his “Room 3” of his space in Marbella.

Jake Clark’s work seeks to examine our relationship with contemporary culture and
iconography. Clark’s work is rich in historical and artistic references, from Greek urns and
funerary vessels to the work of artists like David Hockney and Keith Haring. Drawing inspiration from the world around him, Clark’s work captures the current moment through his reinterpretation of signs, product brands, and logos. His visual sources extend to supermarkets, restaurant menus, advertising, and visual signals such as street signs and local businesses.
