The various possibilities of meaning and representation of Brazilian fauna have long permeated Regina Silveira's research.
As an unfolding of this investigation, which includes Brazilian birds, fishes, mammals, insects and venomous animals, alluding to the aura of exoticism that secularly surrounds Brazilian fauna, the artist presents the exhibition "Fauna Mix", inaugurating Luciana Brito Galeria's 2022 season.
The exhibition brings together a set of handmade tapestries and three large digital prints on Hahnemühle paper, which also address this theme, in addition to establishing a paradoxical relationship with the so traditional historical tapestries from Europe, usually symbols of power of monarchy and clergy authorities.
