WOMEN’S LINE, in Shangai

“Pristine, delicate, silky soft, are the fingers of the women hands when caresses the skin of paper, ready to be drawn.” With this expression starts the press release of a drawing exhibition entitled Women’s Line, which had open last September 2dt at Pantocrator Gallery, Shangai.

 

Artworks by nine women from different hemispheres of the world meet in this exhibition, that can be defined as a singular conjunction of talents, spread it on a cosmos of draws that let us feel the unpredictable. The invited artists are Lore Vanelslande (Belgium-China), Sonia Carballo "Socatoba" (Spain), Carmen Garcia Huerta (Spain), Stephanie Costello (United States), Patsy McArthur (Scotland), Freya Douglas-Morris (UK), Marta Blasco (Spain), Alejandra Alarcon (Bolivia) and Ji Hong-Yan (China).

 

The recognition of these nine talented emerging artists, that Pantocrator Gallery just bring to Shanghai, give us an interesting variety of drawing techniques from the very tenderness and also the deep strength of this women that invites us to discover them, in a universe of lines, dots, ink spots, scratches and smudges.

 

The show will be open till september 30th.
