Argentine Art from Several Generations

Espacio de Arte de Viajes El Corte Ingles and Enlace Arte Contemporaneo – from Lima (Peru) – are going to be showcasing, through November 24, a collective exhibition with six Argentinean artists from different generations. Painting and photography shake hands to bring about reflections on the political and social situation faced by that South American nation.

Since 1960, Argentina has witnessed the development of different movements (abstraction, informalism, pop art, op art…), most of which focus their efforts on the search and permanent innovation. Between 1984 and 1994, the Italian trans-modernism strongly influenced the artists; and the so-called light art came up afterwards and became a production of low ideological content.

The exhibition is made up of: Antonio Segui (Cordoba, 1934), Sergio Camporeale (Buenos Aires, 1937), Carlos Masoch (Buenos Aires, 1953), Javier Bilatz (Buenos Aires, 1968), Claudio Roncoli (Buenos Aires, 1971) and Martin Riwnyj (Buenos Aires, 1972);they are presently stars of different landmarks on Argentinean art.
