FIArt Foundation’s Venue Showcases IN HOUSE ARTIST | ATELIER ZAPARAÍN

The presence of ATELIER ZAPARAÍN at the venue of FIArt Foundation goes beyond a mere exhibition, and becomes an opportunity to intervene in a domestic space by exploring the modifications that could be caused upon it by a collection of some apparently singular artworks. That reflection comes out of the nineteenth-century typology of halls, within a house, not in the street, making up the conventional suite with three interconnected main rooms, with doors, hearths and symmetrically ordered windows.

The pictorial blocks take a double reading, as a group and from their information pixels. The unit is backed up, not by the theme, but the common technique, combinable dimensions and neutral backgrounds with no perspective, which allow viewers to establish relations between people and objects from our urban environment, afraid of losing the security because of cutting-edge cybernetic threats. Most of these paintings can no longer get the sequential reading they were created for, so there is a double-entry matrix to be activated by the viewer.

The modifications of these spaces is complemented by the performance of David Duyos, with an electronic piece, different from the chamber music that livened up so many evenings in this place, which has been turned into a versatile cultural platform.

Artist David Duyos will be playing Wind Guitar (Guitarra de viento).
