Barcelona, ??neutral zone (1914-1918) displays the entry of the artistic, social and political modernity in the convulsive Barcelona of the Great War.
Commissioners Felix Fanes and Joan M. Minguet explore cultural and social wealth which assumed to Barcelona the neutrality during First World War through over four hundred pieces including painting, drawing, photography, posters, film, illustration and magazines. The works of Picabia, Togores, Picasso, Delaunay, Gleizes, Torres-Garcia and Sunyer, among others, coexist with elements of mass communication from the time in original format. In the exhibition are new works as drawings by Josep Clara, Apa or Picarol and pictures by Josep Branguli.
The exhibition can be visited from October 25th 2014 until February 15th 2015, and is sponsored by the BBVA Foundation.
