Ernesto Neto: o protesto e a serpente

The Elba Benítez Gallery announces the opening of the exhibition ea or protest serpente Ernesto Neto, on 21 November, for 20-22 h.

The expected exhibit will be the fourth in the Elba Benítez Gallery, and the first in a gallery after the major retrospective, acclaimed by the criticism and highly successful of public, that the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao gave it earlier this year.

Ernesto Neto (Rio de Janeiro, 1964), one of the best known and most respected artists of the current international art scene, creates sculptures and installations that involve non-traditional techniques and materials, such as semi-transparent stretch fabrics, spices or crochet. Neto carefully uses materials highlighting his innate qualities, while they provocatively interact, but with great delicacy with the architectural space, often creating an atmosphere of playful irreverence.
