Campaign presentation due to the bicentennial of the founding of Cienfuegos

Renowned musicians and visual artists integrate the campaign /Vive tu Patrimonio/, for the bicentennial of the founding of the city of Cienfuegos, which will be celebrated on April 22, 2019.

The announcement of this initiative came at the opening of the VI National Workshop of Cuban Heritage Cities which will be held until next Wednesday, December 3^rd , at the hotel Rancho Luna, Cienfuegos.

The degree Yusi Padron Alonso, specialist in Communication in the Office of the Curator of the City of Cienfuegos (OCCC), said the sculptor Osmani Caro and the young singer Nelson Valdés will devote works for the 200 years of the former colony Fernandina de Jagua.

The program includes children's drawing competition, --debate in neighborhoods in communities and businesses, concerts and other activities that include not only the environment of the historic center of the southern city, but all popular advice.

The specialist said that during the campaign it will be promoted a greater role for the younger generation and employees of non-state establishments operating in the area declared a World Heritage Site since 2005.

Iran Millan Cuétara, director of the OCCC, said that the purpose of this celebration is to unite all stakeholders in safeguarding the assets of the only nineteenth-century Cuban city founded by French colonists.
