Amazing solo show in Italy by Okuda San Miguel

Last 6 November, Okuda San Miguel inaugurated "The Renaissance Metaverse", his first major solo exhibition in Italy, which will be held in two different venues in Bologna: you will be able to see it at the historic, deconsecrated Chiesa di San Mattia churchand also at the prestigious MAGMA Gallery.

"The Renaissance Metaverse" is a bridge between the contemporary and the antique, a leap between real and virtual, a metamorphosis of the present and the past that offers us a thoughtful reflection upon the digital challenge that artistic creation is experiencing. This exhibition is formed by of two spaces that invite us to reflect on the historical evolution of the context in which we have access to art. "The Renaissance Metaverse" features paintings, large-format sculptures and installations created specifically to be integrated into the church of San Mattia and the exhibition space of Magma Gallery.

The final result has left astonished the numerous public who have had the opportunity to visit the exhibition. Okuda San Miguel confesses to Exibart that "as an artist, I feel that I am halfway between the great artistic references of the past and the present. We are in a moment of transition, as it was the Renaissance. From the artistic models of the past, such as Donatello, Botticelli, Leonardo, which I constantly quote in my works and whom created tangible works, we are moving to the virtual world of NFTs, which allows us to create unique and certified digital works of art".
