Luciana Brito Galeria. Online Video Festival

In a novel undertaking, Luciana Brito Galeria is announcing the release of the LB/Online Video Festival on the Artsy platform. Previously, the show was available only on the gallery's website, with a new video added each week until December of this year. Curated by Analívia Cordeiro, the project has garnered attention for its experimental approach that raises awareness about the history of video art, showing how groundbreaking artists have used video to deal with contemporary questions, staking out a definitive place for this language among the visual arts.

The show presents a new exhibition format that allows the visitor to view – at any time and as often as desired – any work featured during the months of the event. The online format thus allows the spectator to establish a more intimate and personal relationship with the work, while spurring the public to reflect on and compare the various artistic productions and proposals. According to the show's curator, Analívia Cordeiro, these innovations have resulted in a semantically transformed exhibition experience, whereby a public that is multicultural both geographically and socially can enter a more diverse and democratic cultural territory.

Through this show, since April, Luciana Brito Galeria opens a window to its more than twenty years of activity in this market, featuring works by the gallery's artists and guest artists, providing public access to a historical selection of worldwide relevance.
