This film was screened last year in Cuba and became the biggest box-office hit in the Cuba's history, in Fiction Productions. Meñique will premier in over 60 movie theaters of Spain on May 8.

Fiction Productions Company will celebrate with a contest in which there will be a prize draw for a travel to Cuba for the children. They only need to post a video performing one of the film songs and hope to be selected as the best one. The children must cover one of the main songs in the film and compete this way for a travel to Cuba for three persons.

The Galician actors are María Castro, Xosé A. Touriñán, Marcos Pereiro, Carlos Blanco, Tacho González, Luís Iglesia, Monti Castiñeiras, as well as Javier Rey, María Pujalte and Antonio Mourelos, among others. With such incentive, the children will have the opportunity to participate in a karaoke contest through Facebook and the web site www.cantaconmaimino.com (where you can find the film songs). Those interested in participating would let their imagination run free and show their performing capacity and talents for singing.

The author chosen by a jury specializing in this issue will win a trip to Cuba for three people. During this trip, they will visit the Animation Studios from the Cuban Institute of Art and Cinematographic Industry, in which some part of the Meñique production took was carried out.

The information on the conest has been already sent to all centers for children and primaries of the main Galician cities, according to the Production Company.
