Cuban Company Acosta Danza Joins the Sadler's Well

HAVANA, Cuba.- The company of Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta was declared on Monday as the new international company to be associated with the Sadler's Wells Theater of London, and it's already preparing a tour for 2017.

On his account in Facebook the director of Acosta Danza also published a picture of his troupe, founded barely a year ago in Havana, Cubasi reported on October 24.

From November 22 to December 4 the company will perform at the Alicia Alonso Grand Theater of Havana, where its world debut took place, dancer and choreographer Ely Regina Hernández told the press.

"Carlos Acosta himself will present a program called "On before," with a great dancer of the Royal Ballet: Zenaida Yanowski", she added.

Carlos Acosta, after his retirement from the Royal Ballet of London, decided to return to his country to create his own company.

From October 28 to November 6, some of its members will join the artists from 16 countries that will take part in the 25th edition of Havana's International Ballet Festival.
